Family Fishing For Bass In The Lowcountry

    Amy with her bass

We spent the morning yesterday at a friend’s pond… and what do you know, we actually caught some fish for a change. And while we certainly didn’t break any records with our two bass, we had a great time in the outdoors with the boys.

My wife Amy set the record for the day with her 2 pounder. I followed that catch up with my monster 1 pounder. Fortunately the kids think that every fish/animal is a trophy (which they truly are), so they were very impressed. We then practiced QBM (quality bass management) and let them go.

On my end, I am almost caught up on a ton of work that I have been trying to get out, so I am looking for a big week of blogging starting back on Monday.

Hope everyone has a great weekend! Thanks for reading.

Looks like a great time Jeff. I always getting my hunting time in, but I never get out fishing as much as I should. Those were some great bass you and your family caught.

I need to get out fishing.

Way to go Amy! Biggest fish of the day.

Looks like you guys had a good time. Too bad you couldn’t get enough fish for a fish fry though.

Looks like a great day fishing with the family. Congrats to Amy for the biggest catch. I would guess since she is touching the fish she takes her own fish off the hook.

My wife usually outfishes me – it’s amusing to her because she has no idea what she’s doing, while I practice all my “expert fisherman tips!” (she’s getting better – she’s pretty much brand new to this way of life!)

Nice job, and it sounds like you had a ton of fun! I bet the children had a blast!
